Vacationing and being unemployed is a tiring matter

I have now applied for like 6-7 jobs or something and created a profile on academic work and manpower.. it is fun to apply for jobs but takes time.. I just hope some of these jobs I am applying for will lead to an interview, I think I could do well in an interview :)

I have also been working out a lot, a lot of swims in the lake with my dad, and yesterday we went on a long bikeride (according to me not him) of 28miles/45km, and it was the fastest I have ever gone with that distance, went 17.2miles per hour/28.2km per hour. However I felt so crappy before, during and after it, for the rest of the day I was not really myself! During it I felt like one would feel like being hungover.. slight headache, dehydrated, sick to my stomach, and total lack of energy in my muscles, however I have not had any alcohol for like 2 weeks. I blame this on the diabetes, because its been a little up and down the past few days.. however if anyone else have any suggestions of what it could be I am open of opinions! I would love to figure out how I could stay away from feeling like this as much as possible, because it is not the first day I have felt like this. I am meeting with my diabetes team in late august, so hopefully they will be able to enlighten me on some of this as well.

Anyhow, we have had a great weekend, weather has really been terrefic, and we had some friends visiting and had some great times with them too. I even got sun burnt yesterday, which was the first time since being back in sweden.. apparantly the great weather is here to stay too!! :)

Tomorrow my dad and I are gonna go swim again, this time its gonna be a longer swim than the 4000m thats been our max before. We spotted an island in the lake last time that we are gonna try swim to tomorrow, It should make it between 5000-6000m I believe, so we will see how that goes.. Today was a rest day for both of us, so hopefully we (I because my dad always seem to be haha) will be energized tomorrow.

Here comes some pics from the past few days!

Lunch on an island, delicious and healthy salad with melon and two eggs.

ALICE IS SO CUTE!!!

This is how great they turned out!! Really haooy with them..cutting off part of the legs on the table, which is why it is not painted all the way down ;) Tomorrow they will be transported back to Stockholm with my awesome aunt and uncle willing to help out, since our car will be too crammed when we go home in a week and a half.

Nice view for tanning!

My 2XU Recovery socks that will keep my calfs strong for my next workout :)

After my 28mile/45km bike ride the other day, the bike ride had such awesome views, we rode down to Kungshamn and back and started at 7.30am, the ocean was sooo calm and beautiful!!! LOVE THE SWEDISH WESTCOAST!!!

not a good day to work out, but been super productive!

Made a serious attempt at working out this morning, however, I failed.. biked 13km and was then gonna try run a 5km, but the 5km quickly turned into just 3km and eventually it turned into a 3km walk/jog rather than a run... ah well, after I was done with that giant fail of a workout I started working on one of my projects this summer.. restoring a table, chair, and stool. The table and chair used to be my mothers grandfathers, and Im gonna use them in mine and Mr. Cs new apartment :) I sandpapered it and painted it, but have to do another layer of paint tomorrow...will post before and after pictures when I am done ;)

On another note, I applied for my first job yesterday, gonna make a serious effort to apply for a new job every day that I am here, if I succeed I will have applied for 15 something jobs by the time I am back in Stockholm.. would be great I think! Hopefully at least one of those applications would lead to an interview, but not keeping my hopes up too high.

This picture below is from when I made my parents lunch today, I made veggie burgers on the grilll.. tasted delicious!! :)

The fastest 13km ever for me today! :)

Woke up semi-ready and mentally prepared for a distance run.. however, I soon realized that if I would not do it I would feel too bad about myself, so decided to get it over with asap instead.. got out a little before 11am. My dad joined me and served as my sugar provider haha, meaning he carried a waterbottle with sugary/energy water and sugar tabs. Every 10-15min he would hand me the bottle to make sure my sugar wouldnt go low and in general stay fairly even.. because when I work out and my sugar level changes it is harder to perform, I get cramps and more lactic acid collects in my body, expecially my legs when I am running.. I also tend to run out of energy, which results in a slower stride. Anyhow today we were able to control my sugar, we meaning my dad and I because he was the best support! Love running with him because he will always just run my pace and push me when needed, but he will always be fine going my pace even if its slower haha. Today our average pace was 5min49 sec per km which is about a 9min16sec mile pace.. which is just a couple of seconds over what my dad wants to hold for his iron man, so it kind of worked out as a good work out for him too :P

These awesome running shoes (have two pairs) by Saucony (called Kinvara 3) carried me through the run today very well!!!

Now time to chillax on the deck for the afternoon and get even tanner..I am already like the tannest ever, for being me ;) haha Allthough it seems the chairs are already taken..hmmm I guess I will have to take the floor ;)

LATER its a skype date with my guy hopefully! Its a little hard to figure out good times to talk, with time difference and him working... but when we do talk we have even more to talk about so its all good ;)

For right now,

Its been way too long, but I wont promise my posts will become more regular, because as history proves I have had a hard time keeping to those promises.. From now on I will write when I write, nothing else to it haha
I lost my email once again, now because I changed my password and then didnt use it for a while so I forgot what my new password was, and couldnt recover it because the phone number attached to the email was my US one and the secondary email was my old hotmail that was hacked a couple of months ago. Lets hope I dont have to change my email a third time in a two month period now haha..

As most of you probably now I am now back in Sweden, have been back here for a week now. Its fun being back, but had a great last month in the states. Got to see Tampa, Florida when I visited my friend Ashley, Washington DC when i visited my friend Erin, and Corolla, North Carolina when I visited Mr. C. Was very exciting, one of my goals was to see more places in the US before I left.

In Tampa, we worked out, chilled on the beach, went to some awesome health stores, and I got to see the dolphin Winter from the movie Dolphin Tale at the aquarium that they shot the movie at, was really cool. We swam open water in like 2 meter waves (at least thats what it felt like), was really cool, allthough I later found out they had sharks in their water, that they would spot pretty regularly, so after that I didnt want to get back in to swim again haha Ashley and I also went shopping a little, but really way too much, I bought too many clothes, shoes, and assecories before I left..really struggled at the end bringing everything I wanted to home.. still have a bunch left with Mr. C.

A couple of weeks later I had my going away party in my apartment, it was the saturday after midsummer, so I also did my midsummer celebration that day and made Swedish traditional food for all my friends that day. Then a few days later on wednesday the 26th of June I left Cleveland FOR EVER!! haha joke aside, I left it for now..will likely make a visit in the future. However, I drove for 6 and a half hours through parts of Ohio, Pennsyvania, and the Maryland I believe to get to DC where I went sightseeing with Erin and ate delicious dinners. I saw the Washington Monument, The World War II Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, The White House, T´he Capitol Building, and The Holocaust Museum. Was a really cool visit and a very cool city. On the last night Erin and I had the best lebanese food ever! was so YUMMY!!!

From DC I drove down to see Mr. C, who I had not seen for 6 weeks!!! He is spending the summer Lifeguarding in Corolla which is on the Outer Banks in North Carolina... A very very cool place! Google it and youll see ;)
Mr. C was the tannest Ive ever seen him and super handsome of course :P haha We spent a week down there together and he was able to get every day off but one day so that was awesome. We went around to different places around their sightseeing, one place we went to was an island called Ocracoke, it was super cool and different, like an island placed on a huge sandbar. Was really nice to see how his life was down their and to meet some of his new friends as well as some of my friends that also work there. When I was there I kinda wish I would have tried the lifeguarding on the beach life out once before leaving the states too. I left Corolla on the 5th of July to fly back to Sweden.. now I wont see Mr. C until he moves here in the fall, which is like 3-4 months away!!! CRAZY I KNOW! however, the fact that he is moving here makes it okay, I can live with 3-4 months apart... besides at the moment we are both doing things we want to do and thats very important that we can both do things we want to do even though it means we wont be physically together for a while! I would say, as much as you learn about eachother when you are together, you learn even more being apart!

Anyhow, now Im at my summer house on the Swedish West Coast! Its very nice here, weather is great... was getting really tired of the US summer..It was wayyyy tooo hotttt!!! Here we have a nice 75degree summer with a nice breeze.. love it! I have also finally got started with some regular workouts again which is sooo nice! My diabetes/my body really suffers/struggles when I do not workout regularly, as was the case during my 2 weeks of moving and traveling around the US. My sugar readings got so terrible, of course thats my own opinion and I am as you know super critical of myself! Now Ive beend three days without meal time insulin because I have been working out about 1hr30min-2hrs per day. My dad and I might do a sprint triahtlon down here next weekend which would be a nice warmup for my olympic triathlon in a little over a month.. Something I really have to get going on again is training for the half marathon plus signing up for it ;) haha.. Tomorrow, if the weather allows it (theres talk about rain) I will try to run 14km, my dad will run with me, holding my pace (or making me hold my pace), which means it will be his warm up/warm down pace haha maybe even slower! Maybe someday I will become a GREAT runner and I will be able to keep up! :P

All I had to say for now,
Hasta Luego!
